About

Over the years, we have adopted a professional approach to buying horses and believe in building long standing relationships with our clients. Moore Bloodstock offers a broad spectrum of services including yearling selection, tried horse purchasing and horse management. Our in depth research and strong international ties with horse breeders, studs and trainers have put us one step above the competition.

John Moore

John Moore is one of the most accomplished trainers in Hong Kong history. He has been leading trainer 6 times and was the first trainer to accumulate more than 1,700 wins in Hong Kong. John’s main specialty is selecting horses in training and he makes countless trips abroad in search of the next superstar. He takes a dedicated and disciplined approach to the selection process and spends countless hours around the clock to find the best horse for his clients. The Moore racing stable has been one of the leading stakes performers for the last 10 years running and this can be attributed to John’s successful selection of tried horses internationally.

George Moore

George Moore is one of the most accomplished agents in Hong Kong with purchases including the likes of Able Friend and Beauty Generation who were crowned Longines World Champions in 2016 and most recently 2019, 4 YO Triple Crown Winner Rapper Dragon, Horse of the Years Military Attack and Designs on Rome and Queensland 3YO HOYT Eagle Way. He has been professionally selecting horses for more than 20 years and forms an important part of Moore Bloodstock.  George is in attendance of most of the international sales in Australia, New Zealand and Europe and therefore has an extended global network of clients and trainers. This allows him to reduce the lead time on purchases resulting in reduced prices for clients and a higher prospective chance of securing an elite horse. George’s experience stems from working with several international trainers, breeders and bloodstock agents including leading Californian trainer John Stadler and Andrew Balding in England. He is also traveling assistant trainer for the Moore Stable.
